NC.Read this story from Bonnie....

Penny has been FOUND and is now home!!  She was taken by a woman who must be mentally disturbed.  The woman has been in Texas the last 3 years, and just returned to our area.  She told the sheriff today that she'd had a horse that looked 'just like Penny' when she left our area.  She said she couldn't even remember where she'd left her horse.  Clearly, she hadn't been paying board to anyone to keep her!  When she saw Penny, she just 'knew' it was her horse, so she simply CAME AND GOT HER.  According to the deputy who arrived at the scene, I may not be able to prosecute this woman, if she indeed 'thought Penny was her horse' and meant no criminal intent.  I am going to take the matter up with the District Attorney on Monday morning and do everything I can to press charges.  Interestingly, I had seen this woman drive onto the farm Monday afternoon.  She was driving a small white station wagon with a dog barrier in the back.  I had just seen a stray dog near the farm.  I thought she may be looking for her dog.  As the woman drove out of the farm, I jumped into my truck and chased her down the driveway, but she got away before I could say anything to her.  I wanted to tell her about the dog I saw.  On the way to get Penny today, I remembered seeing this woman and said to my husband, 'I wonder if she drives a small white station wagon?'  Sure enough, there it was in the driveway of the house where we were reunited with Penny.I owe a HUGE debt of gratitude to everyone who has been on the lookout for Penny.  Friends I have never even met united in an awesome force to help bring my girl home.  But, above all, I want to say a very special Thank You to Debi Metcalfe, Idaho's 'Mom', who has been my unfailing source of strength and guidance throughout this awful ordeal.  Thanks and brightest blessings to all of you.  Sincerely, Bonnie Booker and Penny

JUDY STOLEN FROM ALABAMA WAGON TRAIN
Retrieved in the same night!
March 2002

"WOW!!! is the only word I can use to describe the trip! We went on the Alabama Wagon Trail and had a wonderful time up until midnight Saturday night. About 9:00 Sat night a man come to us and said he was missing his black and white paint racking mare(16hands 1200lb). I told him we would keep a watch out for him and if I found her I'd let him know. (probably just come untied right??????wrong!!!!!) At 12:00 midnight I hayed and watered my horses and went inside to sleep. . Not two minutes later my gelding starts acting a fool. I told my wife (Kasey) somethings not right hes been rode 60 miles in three days. She says "Shane there OK", I said I'm going to check on Judy(16hands 1200lb racking mare). I check and shes gone! Well, first I think shes just got loose, shes in heat and looking for a stud. (right???? wrong!!!). I awake my friends and they awake theirs. We end up with about 30 people with flashlights at midnight looking for this horse. I finally decide at about 12:30 to awake the trailboss. Me and the other gentlemen whose mare is missing to, hop in the truck with the trail boss and start riding the roads. We rode around for a hour and had given up, its pitch dark we cant see, we'll wait till in the morning and look again. I had already decided shes gone forever. I was ready to get in touch with Cheryl Taylor to get her to start posting pictures on the web. And then 100 yards from camp low and behold out of the corner of my eye I see something white, 50 feet down and old logging road. I yelled backup backup!!! There they stood! My mare and the other tied to a pine tree! Wheww!! Lucky!! Lucky!! Lucky!!

I have now calmed and thought how thankful
I am and the thiefs they didn't get caught.
Because you would probably be reading
about them in the obituaries and me
standing trial for murder! I feel for those
whose get stole and the ending is not
like this one."
I am located in North Alabama and
attend many shows and sales. If I
can be of any help to you guys
just let me know!

Cutter
Date Stolen - October 22, 1999
Stolen From - Coushatta, LA USA I am thrilled to say that I feel very lucky because my own Cutter is now back  home.  After 17 months and 2 days I  finally laid eyes on him.
He was  located on an Indian Reservation in Northwest New Mexico. He has been  home for about 6 weeks now and is slowly returning to a healthy animal. sadly, he was not as well taken care of as Idaho during his time away from home.
I, too, refused to give up hope and continued the search for Cutter when the odds were "slim to none" that we would ever find him.
