Not all stolen horse stories have happy endings.  We are use to that.  What we are not use to is one dying nearby because of the attempt.  Dolly fought her horse thieves tearing away at parts of her barn and home for so many years as she went.  The captures were unable to load her and she got loose
into a world outside of her pasture of 15 years. A neighbor later reported seeing a horse running frantically through his yard in the wee hours of the morning.  She was found, dead, Saturday May 19, 2001.
Dennis had this horse for many, many years.

BLUE ROAN FILLY found in 30 hours with help of people on the net--Net Posse.
BLUE ROAN FILLY FOUND IN 30 HOURS WITH HELP OF NET POSSE

Now here is your thank  you and the news from the owners.

Sir or Madam,

We recently sent a letter out concerning a missing Blue Roan Quarter Horse Filly. We would like to let everyone know that we have retrieved the Filly, and as of the writing of this letter, she is already on her way home with a professional hauler.

We recovered the filly because of the concerned efforts of all of you out there on the internet. It took us less than 30 hours to find her!  However, in order to preserve the saftey of all those concerned, and because of legal advice we have received, we couldn't release this letter until the filly was in
the care of our hauler.

The power and size of the internet is obviously amazing, and it has shown itself to be an incredible tool. Because of this, we are leaving our Missing and Stolen Horses area up in our directories in order to help everyone else out there who have lost their horses.

We would like to thank everyone involved, and in particular, the anonymous caller that gave us the information we needed to find her. If it wasn't for that callers time and concern, it is likely that we would still be looking for our Filly.

Again, we would like to thank everyone for their time and patience in this  matter. Please forward this letter to your friends so they can get the Thank  You that they deserve. The comments and support we received from everyone on the internet were amazing, and we certainly appreciated everyones interest. For those of you who want to keep up with this story, we  will be posting our accounts as they occur, at our Missing Filly Stories newslog.

Sincerely,

Thank you Sharon- the horses were dropped back off at my farm while I  was  gone late this evening for dinner- so please let people know to ease  their minds. THe horses are in good condition, and not traumatized.  You are so right about uniting. I can't believe how well the internet  helped- It seems like wildfire. I wonder if someone got scared... :)  Someone called my work today to see if we had heard about the stolen  horses- and imagine their surprise when they found it was their new vet
whose horses it was! :)
Thanks again.
