On May 16th, 2001, a dark sorrel 2 yr. old filly was stolen from ranch in the Texas Panhandle (Ochiltree Co.) -- Two perfect hind socks, two perfect front half pasterns, and a near perfect blaze or wide streak face with a perfect diamond snip--14- 14.2 hands--only halter broke at the time of theft. We hope that you might be able to help us. This filly is a short stout filly with a very good head and is a little wild eyed. Contact: Clint or Emily 806-852-2027 I have sent out flyers and am still in the process of doing so. I have contacted local and surrounding law enforcement. I do not feel like they are too interested in helping, but maybe I am wrong. I wish I had pictures of her, but saddly I do not. For some reason I have photos of every horse we have, except her. We feel a little stupid, except our horses are kept in a pasture with a locked gate and we have been careful to make sure not to make them too gentle until they are ready to break. We felt like we had no leads and then I found out that a man in the same general area had two colts stolen in April. I fell like there is probably a connection, but do not know where to start. All I have is a description and her papers in hand if we do happen to run by her going down the road someday. I will never forget her and will continue to look for her forever. Thank you for any help you can give us, |

I'm still searching for my boy, Encaustic. He is an ex-racehorse (TB) with a lip tattoo # of R16524. He is a brown bay gelding, approx 16+ hands with some white on his feet and specks of white on his knees. I gave him to a lady out of Scotland, CT and she ended up selling him at the New Holland, PA auction on August 4, 1997. He was high spirited, but a great friend. I miss him terribly. He was supposedly sold to the killers, but I hope that someone rescued him before he got to the slaughterhouse. If you have any info...call 615/480-5470 ASAP!! |
"A couple of years ago, when we had no business spending a dime on anything , but neccessities, we decided to take everything we had and could sell and put it in to some weanling and yearling colts. We just knew that when they matured and my husband broke them that they would be our start, saddly now part of our dream belongs to someone else now and they are living off of our struggle. I will never get over being robbed of something so significant." Emily. |
