Our horse Cowboy was stolen on March 14, 2001 HORSE DESCRIPTION: 10 Year old Quarter Horse Gelding, Dapple gray w/black Mane and Tail. 1/2" circular scar on the bridge of his nose, 2" splint on the inside of the right front cannon bone, he is blind in his left eye (dead eye) the eye is not discolored. He weighs approximately 1150lbs that was in March at least. Very attractive, and alert!! A witness saw the vehicle described below at our house. SUSPECT-VEHICLE: The suspects' vehicle was described as a full-size cab P/U truck, two-tone blue in color. The truck was pulling a white horse trailer with the word "Wrangler" on both sides of the trailer. We do believe that the trailer has been impounded as a stolen trailer in New Mexico. Our prime suspect was also caught a week earlier in our neighbors backyard looking at his grey "team roping heel" horse. We believe that he had a order for one. In a our search we recovered 4 horses, 5 saddles and horse trlr... someone saw the flyers and the money for reward looked good to them..Dusty is safe in his stall as we speak and it was a very tearful reunion... They picked the 2 smallest minis to take. "Jake" was sent on lease to a perspective buyer. The lease was from Sept 29th to Oct. 31. I have a legal lease document. It is now Nov. 2nd and the lessor's phone has been disconnected, her address changed. I cannot get a hold of the barn she SUPPOSIVELY has him at because there is no phone number for it. Jake has been recovered. Read the story-click here. This was my first horse, he didn't work out for me so I wanted to sell him to a good home, now I am worried he has been taken to the stock yards. He is 16 hands, dark bay, 1993 TB gelding. He has no white except a funny white patch under is face between his two jaw bones. He has a cowlick slightly to the left at eye level, another high on his crest of neck on both sides, and a feathered cowlick on the front of his neck. He is off the track, lip tattoo W05376, though it is hard to read. He is a difficult ride and would need an experienced rider. The name of the person who took him is Lela Chandler. This is a picture of Dusty, who was stolen from the owner's barn on Hickory Ridge Road in Waddy, KY, on October 25th. He is a 7 yr. old AQHA registered gelding. He is approx. 15 hands, sorrel, blaze face , 1 stocking and two sock feet, and a very thin tail. He is very gentle. The owners love him so much and are heart broken. The theives got no papers, of course, but could easily sell him as a grade horse, or match him to other papers. There is $1,000 reward for his return.
